Corporate hospitality doesn’t have to be predictable

01 October 2025

Last week we had the pleasure of creating something truly unique and memorable for a client – a day that felt special from the very first moment to the last, while offering fascinating insights into the English wine industry.

Together with our partner vineyard Gusbourne, I designed an experience that blended expertise, indulgence and connection. Guests began with tea and coffee before hearing from Dr Alistair Nesbitt, CEO of Vinescapes, who shared his expertise on climate change and its impact on UK vineyards – an engaging perspective that set the tone for the day.

From there, we moved into a drinks reception and private vineyard tour, where a special tasting was served in the heart of the vines, paired with delicious canapés. The highlight continued with a showcase of Fifty One Degrees North, Gusbourne’s prestige cuvée, followed by a three-course wine-paired lunch and the chance to taste freshly pressed grape juice. The afternoon unfolded at a relaxed pace, with more wine, conversation and time outdoors before each guest was presented with a curated gift bag of wines and treats.

Luxury transport, seamless hosting, and attention to every last detail ensured the day was exactly what our client had hoped for: distinctive, memorable, and nothing like the usual corporate hospitality formats.

Our client has this to say about working with Opulence for this experience:

“Emma is always a pleasure to work with. She is incredibly detail orientated and I always feel very happy sending off our corporate guests to Gusbourne to meet her for a special day out. I really recommend working with Opulence.”

This is what we love most at Opulence – taking a brief and turning it into an experience that surprises, showcases incredible English wine and leaves a lasting impression. If you are looking for something new and unique for your upcoming corporate event, visit our experiences or get in touch here.
