Nestled just outside Marden in Kent, Herbert Hall is a distinguished boutique vineyard with deep roots. In 2007, Nick Hall — great-grandson of its founder, Herbert — revitalised the estate by planting Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier on its finest south-facing slopes. The vineyard’s warm microclimate and gravelly clay soils are perfect for growing expressive grapes. Today, Nick and Head Winemaker Kirsty Smith produce small, artisanal editions of English sparkling wines, some as limited as 500 bottles.
