Herbert Hall

Nestled on the outskirts of Marden in Kent, Herbert Hall is a distinguished five-hectare vineyard with a rich heritage. Their dedication to quality has attracted a discerning clientele, including the creation of exclusive sparkling wines for King Charles’ Highgrove Collection.

In 2007, Nick Hall, the great-grandson of the original owner Herbert Hall, revitalised the family farm by planting Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier vines on what Herbert had always regarded as his finest land. This south-facing, gravel-seamed clay slope benefits from a warm, sheltered microclimate – ideal for cultivating premium grapes.

Nick, alongside Head Winemaker Kirsty Smith, meticulously craft traditional method English sparkling wines that have garnered acclaim for their balance and focus. Each vintage is produced in limited quantities, with an average of only 20,000 bottles a year, including some cuvées as small as 500 bottles, reflecting their commitment to artisanal winemaking.

Herbert Hall’s dedication to quality has attracted a discerning clientele, including the creation of exclusive sparkling wines for King Charles’ Highgrove Collection, and served in some of the most famous restaurants across London and the UK.
