Nestled within the heart of Kent’s renowned ‘Garden of England,’ Balfour Winery stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of family heritage and environmental stewardship. Spanning an impressive 400-acre estate, the winery encompasses manicured vineyards, apple orchards, wildflower meadows and ancient oak woodlands, each element reflecting a deep-rooted commitment to conservation and sustainability.
Established in 2002, Balfour’s vineyards are meticulously cultivated with classic grape varieties such as Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, complemented by recent additions like Bacchus and Pinot Blanc. This diverse viticulture enables the production of over 400,000 bottles annually, positioning Balfour as one of England’s most esteemed wineries. Their portfolio showcases a dedication to both traditional methods and innovative practices, resulting in a collection of still and sparkling wines that have garnered international acclaim.
